Landscape renovation of historic downtown Evansville Residence. The landscape design plays off of the style of the home. Single-trunk Crapemyrtles function as street trees, providing summer-long color with their watermelon pink flowers, and they can be limbed up to allow traffic visibility for pulling out of the driveway. A dwarf boxwood hedge creates separation from the public sidewalk and street. A simple, asymmetrical planting scheme adorns the front porch and breaks up the formality of the Boxwood hedges and the row of Crapemyrtles. A nod is made to the Mediterranean landscape design with the cypress-shaped, conical boxwood that accents an end-column.
