Mediterranean-inspired Residential Pool
The existing house formerly had a walkout basement that opened onto a steeply sloped lawn, yielding little usable space. The design solution creates three distinct levels with plenty of space for hosting a variety of activities: an upper deck with a spa and grill, a lower deck with seating & entertainment space surrounded by planting beds and a nearby fire pit, and a lower terrace pool and deck with three waterfalls built into the surrounding retaining walls. Hardy Mediterranean-inspired plantings and terraces transform this Midwestern landscape into a vibrant and colorful hillside. Designed during my employment with Combs Landscape & Nursery.
